This was taken without flash just using natural light from a blue sky. I waited for the sun to drop behind a building hence soft light as it was the last hour of daylight. it was taken with my canon R5 mk ii with a 24 to 105 lens. I had to wait 2 weeks for the best light conditions.

Inspired by the National Geographic Afghan Girl, perhaps?
Whilst like many I am aware of the Afghan girl, the inspiration stems from a photo shoot I did for a Sikh birthday party about 7 years ago, the model is in fact my Granddaughter who rarely has a photograph taken, so I wanted to do something special for herald her mothers family.
It's a beautiful portrait with much to admire.
