Great model, but chaos in the background. is making this picture look like a snapshot. Really!
I disagree. Environmental portrait. Looks good. Not every portrait needs a background that is blown out. Now, I probably wouldn't have clipped the very top of her hair or clipped down more by the forehead to make it seem intentional, but I like the shot overall.
Your really want to take a picture of a model or background? You need to make a decision
The motorcycle is clearly part of the shot and in my opinion telling part of the story. Are you saying that the only pictures of models should be with backgrounds that are blown out or in front of a black wall?
Maybe the real question comes down to whether what a creator chooses to put in the frame clearly adds to the narrative of the portrait. If so: higher score.
.... maybe and real question won`t go together. Any way in the world of photography and in the world of math, we know addition and subtraction , in this case narrative background is not adding any good to this picture.
