I saw Michael in downtown Boulder, Colorado. He was inside a coffee shop, having his coffee and reading the newspaper. He looked like a model for a painting. I walked inside the shop, introduced myself, and asked Michael if I could take his picture from outside the window, looking in. He was extremely accommodating. As in many situations like this, he asked me what I wanted him to do. I told him to just keep reading the paper.
The challenge was the lighting inside the coffee shop. I decided to underexpose the photo, which caused Michael's cap and sweater to blend into the background, which, in turn, gave me that "Rembrandt lighting" on him.

I really like this, but I would not be so tight on the frame. I had no idea he was in a coffee shop until I read your comment. Having a cup of coffee in the frame would add a lot to the story. IMO
