Nelson Sanders and his Buick Electra in Detroit. The challenge was the light - the ambient was flat and not highlighting the details of the lines of the car or creating any mood on him. I lit with a Profoto 7B and a Magnum reflector to create some drama and underexposed the sky to bring the clouds out. I wanted to illustrate a modern man with his vintage car and elude to time being transformed by the environment. Nelson gets to step back into Detroit's automotive history for a stolen moment in one of his bespoke suits that call back to Detroit's style heritage as well - it's his personal style in every way. I shot on a Pentax 645Z - 45-85mm zoom.
