This is a photograph of what's commonly called Goat's Beard... it's essentially a softball size dandelion. I'm really not into new technology. My "new" camera is a twelve year-old Nikon D800E. Most new software applications such as generative fill or sky-replacement don't excite me much either. In virtually all cases, I try to work within the limitations of the camera and lens. For macro photography, I embrace shallow depth-of-field to make more artistic images. That said, I tried using Helicon's focus stacking on this image, and I liked the results. It's actually a weed so I clipped it and shot the photo inside my home with some flash and blue colored fabric background. So while focus-stacking isn't exactly cutting edge technology, it's a photo that I would not have made successfully without it.
