I was on a Natural Habitat trip to Katmai, Alaska, and stayed aboard their ship "Ursus", a former crab boat. Each morning we'd suit up and be taken ashore. We'd walk up a stream and find a place to sit for a few hours. The chum salmon would come upstream as the tide rose, and the brown bears would move downstream to catch them.
I took this image with my Nikon D750 and Tamron 200-500mm lens, f/8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 800 at 250mm, exposure +0.3 step. The bear came straight at me because he felt I wasn't a threat. There was a bear on the opposite bank who might have fought for the fish. The bear proceeded to rip the salmon apart just feet away from me. The only enhancements were to crop the photo so the other bear isn't visible.
