A photo I couldn’t have made a couple of years ago is this one of the iconic Pirelli Tower in Milan, Italy. For a start, the photo is made with my favourite ‘hybrid lens’ mounted on the Nikon Z6: it’s the Laowa 12mm Zero-D (Canon model by the way) on the Laowa Magic Shift Converter (Sony mount). This becomes a 17mm shift lens, which is mounted on the Z6 with a Sony to Nikon Z adapter ring. All manual, but it works brilliantly.

Furthermore, it’s a composite of 7 photos. Editing is done in Camera Raw for the basics and in Photoshop for aligning the set of images (did I mention it was hand-held?). I needed all these images for masking out people and cars, and focusing on the typical Italian Vespa on the foreground. In order to clean up the image, I mainly used the new remove tool in Photoshop (love it!), and in the end I used Topaz AI for a bit of sharpening.
