I think software has had the biggest impact on modern photography. I took this image in natural light with shadows and highlights no camera should be able to get data from. With a few minutes in Lightroom I was able to mask the subject perfectly, relight the entire scene, adjust white balance and color, and ultimately get an image that would have never seen the light of day 10 year ago. Autofocus is crazy good too. I took a few frames of the subject in the corner coming into this jump, then spun 180 degrees to get this shot.
