Gateway to the West, the St. Louis Arch.

I took this photo during a business trip to St. Louis in October of 2022. I shot this on my 12-24 Sony Gmaster lens at 12mm. It took some maneuvering to get the full reflection in frame but I eventually got it.

To create this image I used pieces of 3 separate photos. I used 1 photo for the clouds that were there earlier in the day. During sunset there were no clouds in the sky. I also used the cloud shot to blend in some of the brighter light on the trees to bring out some of the fall colors.

I only got a little bit of color during sunset, so I used 1 photo from that time to blend in some of the warmer tones and colors I got just above the horizon.

Finally, when the sun got low in the sky the Arch light up with some golden reflected light from the sun. So I used 1 photo to blend in the golden light on the arch to the rest of the photo.

I blended everything together in photoshop. Once everything was blended I finished it off in radiant photo (Elia's editing software) and then did some further basic and local adjustments/masking in camera raw.
