Caught this photo on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park with my new 24-105 F4 lens at the time. He was such a good photo subject. Something interesting is the specular dots in the photo are out of focus Gnats. There were a ton of them flying around.

Great shot! I like the contrast between the subject and the background. I'd be curious about your thoughts on a 5:4 landscape crop with the eyes along the top third line and the mass of the tree along the bottom third line.
