It was an cold February morning when I went to a nearby small sister lake (Kleine Flaes Netherlands).
It is not accessible by path, so I had to wade through bushes and ice, only to discover that foresters had earlier scraped off the top layer of soil to encourage heather growth.
After about 30 minutes of walking around I found this location with the 3 trees and fantastic background light.
I took several photos of the trees from different angles and finally chose this photo because of the gap between the tree and ice in the foreground.
In post processing (my camerasetup excludes any picture enhancements) I had to do some cropping and cleaning up to make it more serene.
