Early that day there were weather reports that a storm was quickly approaching the City. So I quickly dropped what I was doing grabbed my camera and headed downtown. Once on the ferry, I discovered I had to ride it several times since the storms clouds were not doing anything of interest.

Then as the boat was leaving Manhattan out towards Staten Island I turned around and looked up and to my surprise this humongous mushroom like cloud seem to dwarf the entire island. A once in a lifetime capture indeed.
