Sunrise over the Makadikadi Salt Pans
We spent the night out on the salt pans and this was as the sun was just touching the horizon. Located in north-eastern Botswana, the Makadikadi is one of the largest salt pans in the world.

Seems like this image is begging for a couple of people to be included in the scene... somehow, someway. You've already got the man-made elements as a start... finish the story.
I have a photo 10 minutes earlier just prior to sunrise where my wife is sitting up and looking at the color spreading across the sky. I’ll post that on my profile, love to have your feed back.
Yes, I like that one much, much better with her in it. All it needs is you in the picture too... far more romantic with two people, which is the likely story from having two beds so close together. From the angle of her head, though, it looks like she could be looking at a phone in her lap instead of the gorgeous sky.
If this had a few things, like the water bottle tipped over, the rug slightly messy and the bag laying on it's side, with a bit of desaturation on the foreground and subject but leaving the sky as is, this would have a very powerful message about leaving behind something.
Really love the pop of red in there though, it really draws your eye to the subject. Even when trying to look away, it draws you back. The contrast between the blue foreground and the red blanket/poncho.
