Trumpeter swan on a very cold morning.
This was taken two years ago with a Sony a9 and 200-600mm lens.

When the air temps get cold enough, around -10F, the unfrozen water will have a mist or fog over it. That's what's happening in this photo. Because the sun is high enough, sometimes, when the mist/fog isn't as thick, the sun will light up one of the swans, kind of in a spotlight. That's how this came about.
