This is another image I took attempting to building up an "interiors/interior design" portfolio. This is an old "historic" house that some people I know restored.

I built this up from several flash shots with my goddox ad300 and a soft box. I did some flashes from outside flashing through the window and some inside the house from the right side. Once I was happy with where it was at I blended back in some luminance from an ambient layer at about 30% opacity on luminosity blend mode. Once everything was blended together I just made some contrast and levels adjustments.

I feel like you truly understood the assignment with this shot and the soft light. You can really see it in the shadow of the lamp and behind the chair next to the fireplace. Although, the highlights on the chair, pillow, and footstool are a little hot and close to overexposed for my liking. But if that's what you like, then you've captured the warmness of this place well, even with the white light and not making it warm toned. The floors and furniture really pull that warmness in.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. And those highlights probably could be toned down a bit!
