"Choir"
The trees stand in a thin, spectral line, their bare branches dissolving into the cool weight of a teal sky. A slow fog wraps itself around their trunks, softening their edges until they seem less like trees and more like the memory of a tree.
This photograph owes its dreamlike light to a deliberate blur — the slow drag of the camera during exposure turning solid forms into vertical whispers. Without the clutter of leaves or detail, what’s left is mood: quiet, distant, & a little haunted.
This was another test of patience. Shot with natural morning light filtered through haze, the camera’s motion was intentional. Timing mattered — too slow & the trees vanished into mush, too fast & the ghostliness is lost.
The title reflects the overall sense of reverence in this photo..
