I captured this sunrise shot last week in Dauphin Island, AL, looking east out over Mobile Bay. I had my full-frame camera on my tripod, but I was able to get this hand-held shot using my regular daily use camera (my micro four-thirds OM-1 with an M. Zuiko 40-150mm f2.8 PRO lens). My family thinks these natural gas rigs are "eyesores," but personally I find them to be fascinating feats of engineering and I found myself regularly taking photos of them throughout our trip. I got lucky with the sun starting to peak out of the horizon haze just behind this particular rig, and the soft hues and color in the sky make this one of my favorite recent photos.
