One of our Hosta plants has beautiful blooms this August. Captured this with my Nikon Z7ii and Sigma 65mm F2 lens (E mount with E to Z Adapter) on a tripod. It was a partly cloudy, hazy morning - so no direct sunlight, but nice soft light. There was a slight breeze, so I raised the ISO to 200 to get my shutter speed up a bit to combat the movement. The Sigma 65/2 has a beautiful bokeh, so I shot this at F2, shutter speed of 1/180. The bokeh was extremely soft and buttery, and I manually focused right on the green leaves so the leaves are really the only part of the flowers that had any sharpness, which gave a nice overall softness to the image, and enhanced the soft light. I enhanced the softness even more by reducing the contrast of the image overall, and sharpening just the tips of the green flowers - which were really the only thing in focus anyway.
