This was from a shoot from a couple of years ago with my friend Kara. We had a vision of princess/waiting bride in a fantasy-esque setting as if she were waiting for her true love. Other parts of the shoot not seen are her with her crown, and vertical standing ones that can be seen on my IG.
The biggest issues we had with this shoot were the crazy amount of people at this park during golden hour, and the rush hour traffic that was behind her. This was shot in Wilmington NC, at the (formally) Hugh MacRae Park ( now LongLeaf). If you've ever been there, you know how crazy Market street is at this time!
I shot this all natural lighting. I wanted her to glow, and not be my usual look from artificial lighting I tend to do. Natural lighting to me, is far harder given you have no control over how it is minute by minute. You're chasing the light, and when it's perfect, you set up your shot and then it changes again. This did happen a bit during this shoot, however, it's an easily correctable thing in-post.
That said, the lighting that day was gorgeous. The dappled light coming through the trees was simply beautiful. It framed her and draws your eyes in.
Shot with a Nikon D850 , Sigma 105mm f/1.4 Art - f/1.4 ISO 100 1/500S
This was also prior to switching to mirrorless. I will say that, as much as I love my Z7II, I miss the slap of a DSLR!
