Coming back from a hiking trip in central Oregon, this buck was outside of my campsite. It was late in the day and the light was falling quickly. The main challenge was getting close enough to get the shot while still keeping my distance as to not disturb him. The longest lens I have is my 70-200. So at 200mm and wide open at F2.8 I tried sneaking up. Obviously he say me coming but stayed just long enough for me to capture this photo. This is also my first time capturing a good wildlife photo.

I love how it's dark and calm, a frozen moment. The color palette is beautiful!
