In a beautiful bar in downtown Charlotte North Carolina with an Old Fashioned, my camera and my 20mm 1.8 lens with marvelous close focusing. My drink perfectly complemented the color of the table, the background lights and even the candle. I wanted to express that but still keep the drink in the beautifully textured glass as the focus. I shot this wide open f/1.8, 1/30, ISO 800. The resulting bokeh and reflections surround the subject while the tiled candle holder gives the viewer a secondary subject and additional colors to draw you in.
