A very special novelty wave. This beach in the Northwest of Puerto Rico needs very specific and powerful swell conditions to even appear. So to my surprise, a day at the beach with the fam got me swimming with my camera and chasing this gem of a wave. Even better, there was a perfect backwash wave hitting the wave in this photo to make the crest rise up the way its captured. By the end of day the conditions had changed so much that there were no more waves hitting the rocks. A very special moment captured if you ask me(and probably any wave chaser in Puerto Rico).
