I am not a wildlife photographer. But i enjoy from time to time this as a past-time. I went in a photo-trip in the Danube Delta shooting birds. One beautiful morning the fog was rolling over the small canals, and the boat was heading into the sun. I saw up in the trees a silhouette of a grey heron. Shot a few frames in a hurry - as a landscape photographer i love this type of conditions - before we passed the bird. I knew i have something that i liked and that the chance was there, the conditions were there, everything was lining up for this shot. I didn't even look at the back of my camera to see the photos until i got back at the laptop as i did not want to ruin my day in case i missed the shot :)
