¨Castles in the wind¨ was shot on one of the most stunning sunsets I have experienced in the Antarctic. The iceberg shown is drifting in a place called Paradise Harbour. The image is pretty straightforward. I approached on my Zodiac, layed belly down on my bowbox and got my camera as low as I could, trying to play with the reflection. My goal was to have a certain symmetry between the reflected and the real iceberg, but what I ended up getting was far more interesting. A sense of rhythm in the swell pattern, the soft light caressing the side of the ice, the pastel tones in the sky...
The main challenge was actually to get to lay still as much as possible, as my breathing would move the weight of the bow, creating further ripples.
