This was shot at Harris Beach State Park in southern Oregon. To the right of me is the famous arch rock at this beach. I have a great shot of the light coming through the arch. Maybe I will use it for a different contest. After photographing the arch, I decided to walk around and find other scenes. This scene jumped out at me.

I set up my Nikon Z5II with my Nikkor 24-120mm S lens (ƒ/16- 2.5s - 38mm - ISO100) on my Benro tripod using my NiSI JetMag 6 stop ND filter.

The challenge was highlights due to the long exposure. I had to get this in one shot because the waves are different every time. I wanted to capture the loneliness of the rock sitting there watching the sunset for the millionth time. Trying to capture all that with high dynamic range and a long exposure is a challenge.

This photograph will look great as a print because of the color between the blue and yellow sky, the smooth blue water, and quiet foreground will give the viewer a sense contemplation of the day as they think about how long that rock has been there watching sunsets. I think this photograph would look good in print, so much so, I ordered an acrylic under glass print and am waiting for it to come in.
