Fireworks get cliche after a while, but there are endless things you can do to make them unique. For the effect on this one, I pulled the focus in and out for the duration of the four second exposure. Very little post processing is needed with this technique; I only used simple cropping and exposure edits. Colors are not altered in any way.

4.0 seconds, f/8.0 at 100mm using a 100mm macro lens. The macro works better as the focus ring has a higher rotation sensitivity.

Fireworks fill the sky and always look best filling a large print.
