An early morning scene in Yellowstone. We had just left our cabin at Lake Yellowstone Hotel and were headed to Hayden Valley to hopefully see and photograph some wolves. The fog and the early morning light grabbed my attention. We stopped and I made about a dozen exposures using different settings, pointed in different directions, with varying amounts of light and fog.
This photograph was made with a Nikon D800 that I had been using for only about 2 months and a Nikkor 24-120 lens that I picked up about a week before the trip to Yellowstone.
I like this image so much that I have a few prints around the house - from 8 x 10 to 20 x 30.
