When we created this image we already had the wall-art-aesthetic in mind. My model Anna has been with me in my photographic journey from the very beginning (2015) and so we really challenge ourselves to create something new every time. The lighting setup was rather simple having three lights (COB-LED) firing into the background at various angles to also give some edge-light providing shape on the model as well as the white fabric.
The left half of the image is created through a combination of AI-Generation, fabric-photos from the day and a lot of liquifying in Photoshop. Having the transition being seamless was probably the hardest part. We did have an electric fan that was blowing the chiffon against Anna, but to have the rather heavy fabric stay up I needed to clamp it to a light stand, which created some of the wrinkling you can still see to the left of her. I was considering if I should just keep the original Image without the AI-Enhanced part on the left but decided I liked the addition and don't think it takes away from the very real skill of Anna and me that created this image.
I've not yet printed it but the image is now my favorite thing to display on my FrameTV.

Like you I typically use blowers, tripod with clips or simply with the help of the stylist on my set that are removed in post. Rare case we have what we wanted just with the blower and luck. Photo stacking and AI help a lot now.

Definitely thought about getting a leaf blower if I do it another time, my little room fan was definitely not up the the job. Good to know that others are using AI in these cases as well. I was really struggling if I should use it on such a large part of the image.
I have few models of blowers available. Two small hand ones (USB 30,000rpm), one medium size on a pod and a large one on the floor.
