How did you got so high with your hand camera? From a mountain, helicopter?
Are the northern lights and stars added via photo stacking ? They are very sharp and tripods required for sure!

I was standing on the bridge that goes from this island to the next. It's pretty high above the water. Single shot using a study tripod and waiting for there to be no cars driving by to shake the bridge. Clear night and very bright aurora.
Actually, now that I look at it again I think it must have been 2 exposures (one for the cabins and one for the sky). I don't seem to have the original files anymore to confirm.
