This is an aerial panorama of the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, North Carolina taken with my Dji Mini 2.

I always wanted to capture a direct 1 point perspective shot of the pier. It was always kind of difficult with a regular camera as you would have to get so far away and then probably shoot telephoto to not have it look so small. And every panorama I tried with a camera always came out awkward. The pier would always be weird looking and the water would never stitch well. The drone solved all of these problems.

Nothing super special here. I flew out and got as centered as I could and took 3 horizontal shots and stitched them together in lightroom. This was taken in October when the sunsets right in to the ocean looking west. Always has potential for some dramatic sunsets here. For the editing I just did some basic adjustments then did some color grading with the blues and oranges/yellows. I was going for that kind of cinematic orange/teal look.

I think this would work well as a print for a few reasons. One, it's a panorama, so it has potential to be printed rather large. Two, I think it would work well at any of the hundreds of beach rentals and would also look nice hanging in the store of the pier itself. My parents even have a kind of large print hanging on the wall themselves.
