The image is the result of stitching 4x3 infrared images taken with a full spectrum Samsung NX1100 equipped with a 680nm infrared filter. The image was then post produced with the common channel swapping technique and cropped in a 3:2 aspect ratio. Besides the fascinating and elegant subject (a little less so in normal visible light I must admit) and the huge dimensions (12000x8000px) the image doesn't look like a typical "snapshot" of reality, it doesn't age the same way a standard photo might. By stripping away the realistic greens and browns, the image takes on another level, allowing it to fit into almost any interior design without clashing.
