This image was created during my trip to Bali. While being on the North side of the island we were staying near the coast. The one evening we spend there I went out at sunset to photograph the sunset. There were a lot of these boats, that are really typical for South East Asia tied in the water close to the coast for the dolphine watching that was very popular in the area. I tried a couple compositions with the sun and the boats. This one was my favorite.

The reason why I think this would be a great print is because of it's simplicity, calmness and the holiday feeling that it gives me. And probably many other people that have travelled to South East Asia.

This was shot on a canon 5d mark II, with a canon 17-40mm lens.

PS: I cropped a little bit into the boat on the right side in photoshop to make the story more about the boat on the left and the sunset. So if the people in the fstoppers community can convince me that this was wrong, I can always change it ;)

I would crop it out completely and move that horizon out of the centery.

I hadn't thought about this, but I do like this a lot as well!
