Yosemite is a wonder to discover, and its expansive grandeur has been well documented by extraordinary photographers for decades. My humble approach to photographing Yosemite was to focus on exploring details and moments.
One idea I had was to take a "portrait" of Upper Yosemite Falls in the early morning light of early spring. It was one of those glorious moments when amazing light, location and subject all came together.
I feel this "portrait" is a study of time. The chiseled face of Yosemite glowing gold and bold shows the strength of the past and present, as the ethereal waterfall brings the change of the future.

Sweet Shot. I like the mist and mood.
I love the image, but would like something to provide a reference for scale.
Yeah, this could be big on a wall.
That's the kind of mood I would want on a wall
