Concrete Waterfall, Aragon, Spain- 2025 - Oliver Clarke
This image was made just beyond the sluice gate of the reservoir near my home in Aragón, where controlled water flow transforms into a cascading concrete waterfall.
What begins as pure utility becomes something unexpectedly beautiful: a man-made structure softened by light, shadow, and motion. As part of a theme that runs through my work — an exploration of the poetry found in functional, utilitarian architecture.
This photograph forms part of my ongoing series documenting the overlooked structures that shape rural and post-industrial Spain. Here, the technical and the natural meet, merging engineering with the quiet drama of flowing water. to see more of my work visit oliverclarkestudio.com
