Louvre Courtyard, Fujifilm x100v, 23 mm, 1/1700 sec, f/7.1, ISO 320, June 25, 2025.

This was taken from and THROUGH an upper-floor window of the museum on a very clear day which offered an interesting view of the buildings and courtyard. The statues seem to be looking down in disdain at the many tourists invading the courtyard. (I need to find out who these statues represent.)

I like how the flow of the courtyard leads the eyes all the way out to the arched entryways in the distance, where buses and vans are parked to deliver and pick up their loads of humanity. It was a warm day, causing some people to open their umbrellas while others sought shade near the buildings. I enjoy a photo with lots of people, not only adding to the scale of the scene, but also a deep level of interest as to who these people are, where they are from, and what the children think of this massive art museum. Do they even care?!

Some LR cropping and leveling were applied. The sky was darkened by adding Clarity (+75) to bring out what little detail was present. Exposure was raised a little (+1.24), Contrast +7, Highlights were lowered to -44, and the shadows were raised +76.
