Hello everyone! My name is Ephrem Richmond, and I am working on becoming a professional photographer. This image here is what really challenged the way I edited, and it forced me to take a step back and really consider how I was taking my photos and why.

With this image specifically, you have this epic frame of a massive prayer wheel in Shangri-la, China. In the foreground, you have a nice roof adding to the immensity of the prayer wheel, and then you have the trees that are almost clinging to the side of the wheel. When you look at this photo, you can clearly see how large it is, and that's exactly what I want to make clear. In addition to its unavoidable presence, the way I adjusted the colors, lighting, and contrasts was very specific. I wanted the colors to look realistic, the lighting to be dramatic, and the contrast (specifically on the edges) to be extreme. I wanted to make the photograph POP, even more than it already is, sitting on top of its own mini mountain.

I think I reached my goal, and I am looking forward to applying what I learned here to my other photos! If you'd like to check out my social media and find out about my website, my Instagram is: summit.with.ephrem.

I used the Canon R10 and the Canon RF 100M Macro lens, and I edited my photo in Lightroom.
