Standing alone at the edge of the Atlantic, the lighthouse becomes a quiet point of stability in an otherwise restless landscape. The dark, stormy sea and heavy sky create a sense of isolation, while the red lantern and small white structure introduce just enough color to draw the eye toward the center of the frame.
I was drawn to the contrast between the rigid geometry of the pier and the unpredictable movement of the ocean - a meeting point between human order and the raw power of nature.
