An In-Depth Review of the iPhone 12 Pro Max Cameras

Phone cameras have come a remarkably long way in the last few years, and they have become truly versatile options for professional shooters in a wide variety of situations. This excellent video review takes a look at the new iPhone 12 Pro Max cameras and the impressive performance you can expect from them.

Coming to you from ZY Productions, this great video review takes a look at the cameras on the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have been using the 11 Pro Max for a while now, and I have to say I have been highly impressed, as it has been the first phone that has been truly able to replace a walkaround camera for me. This has been mostly because of its Night Mode feature. Traditionally, low-light situations are where small sensors (like those in phones) really struggle. Night Mode uses a combination of long exposures and machine learning to create the overall image, which results in improved shadows, detail, and sharpness. The leap in quality from my old smartphone photos has been truly impressive, and it has been enough for me to leave a dedicated camera behind when I am just going for a nighttime walk or the like, and it seems the 12 Pro Max only improves on that. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

The single most impressive part of this review was the fast-clipped pacing. I almost didn't watch because other videos almost universally slog along while the host makes errors and hems and haws. This was as perfect a production as I could imagine -- and I learned a lot in the process.
