Fujifilm has announced the X-T30 III, the newest model in its popular X-T30 series of mirrorless cameras. Building on the X-T30 II, this version adds AI-based autofocus improvements, longer battery life, and higher video resolution, while keeping the same compact form factor and analog-style control layout that has defined the X-T line.
The X-T30 III retains the same size and weight as its predecessor, making it well-suited for everyday use or travel. Its central electronic viewfinder and dial-based control system provide a tactile, film-camera-style experience, while the compact magnesium alloy body keeps it lightweight at 13.3 oz.
A dedicated switch activates an Auto mode, allowing the camera to detect scenes automatically and set focus and exposure. This feature, along with the built-in pop-up flash, makes it approachable for users upgrading from smartphones or entry-level cameras.

Film Simulation Dial and Creative Options
A new top-plate dial gives quick access to 20 film simulations, including Fujifilm’s classic looks such as Classic Chrome and the newly introduced Reala Ace. The dial also offers three customizable memory slots (FS1–FS3) for saving favorite film simulation recipes with individual adjustments like grain effect, color tone, and highlights.
Video Features
The X-T30 III now records up to 6.2K video internally at 30p with 10-bit 4:2:2 color. It also supports 4K 60p and Full HD 240p high frame rate modes. Digital image stabilization reduces motion during handheld shooting, and the Portrait Enhancer mode aims to improve skin tones in video work.
Connectivity and Printing
Wireless connectivity extends to compatible instax Link printers, including the instax mini Link 2, instax mini Link 3, instax Square Link, and instax Link Wide. This allows users to print directly from the camera without needing a smartphone app.
Why It Matters
The X-T30 III refines an already well-regarded camera line with small but meaningful updates, particularly in autofocus, video quality, and usability. For photographers seeking a compact, full-featured APS-C body with Fujifilm’s signature color science and analog-style controls, it offers a practical balance between performance and portability. With AI-assisted autofocus and 6.2K recording, it brings features from higher-end X Series models into a smaller and more affordable package. Its new Film Simulation dial makes Fujifilm’s signature color science more accessible for beginners and enthusiasts alike, while the continued support for more than 40 interchangeable lenses ensures room to grow creatively.

I think it's a great disappointment! It has no IS and is meant for beginners!
In my opinion the still best beginners camera in the Fuji Eco System is the x-S20. I think the 26 Mp sensor is okay but a development of x-S20 could be an environmental seal.
Olympus and OM Systems have got this much better. They have now three environmentally sealed bodies and IS. The OM5II, the OM3 and the OM1II. The OM5II could have some upgrades though to be a really fabulous "start" camera. The 4/3 format is also much better than the 3/2 format for creativity and printing with much less useless cropping.
