Apple has introduced the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, two new flagship smartphones that bring a redesigned aluminum unibody, a more powerful processor, upgraded cameras, and expanded video capabilities aimed at photographers and filmmakers.
Both models are powered by the A19 Pro chip and feature an Apple-designed vapor chamber for improved thermal management and sustained performance. The larger internal space also allows for bigger batteries, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max offering the longest battery life in an iPhone to date.
The camera system includes three 48 MP “Fusion” rear cameras (main, ultra wide, and telephoto) providing up to 8x optical zoom at 200mm. A new 18 MP Center Stage front camera improves selfies, group photos, and video calls, while enabling stabilized 4K HDR video and dual capture from both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Apple also introduced new professional video tools, including support for ProRes raw, Log 2, and genlock synchronization for multi-camera setups. These features target filmmakers and content creators integrating iPhone into larger productions.
