Nikon’s Z mount is set to become a little more accessible with news that Viltrox has six more autofocus prime lenses due to be announced in July — three full frame and three APS-C — that will sit alongside its existing AF 85mm f/1.8 Z.
Nikon Rumors reports that Viltrox presented the six lenses at the China International Photographic Equipment and Technology Fair in Beijing, with an official announcement due to come in the next two months
The six lenses include three primes for full frame cameras: 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm, all at f/1.8. In addition, there will be three primes for APS-C cameras: 23mm, 33mm, and 56mm, all at f/1.4.
The six lenses will add to Viltrox’s two existing lenses for the Z mount: the AF 85mm f/1.8, and the PFU RBMH 20mm f/1.8 ASPH which are autofocus and manual focus, respectively.
Nikon users will likely welcome the prospect of lower-end glass, increasing the choice of options and catering to more budgets and perhaps hoping that the likes of Sigma, Tamron, and Rokinon/Samyang will follow suit. Sony’s mirrorless system seems to have benefited from the large range of third-party glass, increasing its attractiveness for enthusiasts who can’t justify the prices of Sony’s own lenses.

I wonder how light their APS-C lenses will be. One of the best things about the Z50 is how light and compact it is.
This is certainly a positive. I actually have the 85mm paired with my Z6ii and it's quite good on the 24Mp sensor maybe on the Z7 larger sensor may not please the pixel peepers. I did adapt the sigma 85mm art on my old Z6 and that was great but prefer now to have a native mount lens. So far happy with the lens and half the price of the optically superior Nikon 85mm but I'm not prepared to pay that price for a 1.8.
Really hoping that sigma come on board to the z mount as their art lenses are fantastic.
