Wotancraft Releases WWII Military-Inspired SCOUT Bag

Wontancraft has announced their new Scout camera bag. Known for combining old-school craftsmanship and modern-day functionality, their World War II 50s-style bag is designed for just that. The newest bag in their line boasts an accordion-style opening, YKK waterproof zippers,  and water-repellent Cordura fabric. The main compartment is compatible with Wotancraft pocket modules for organizing your gear.

The 7L capacity could fit up to a full-frame camera and three lenses or two bodies and two lenses. Wontancraft bags are styled to be deceptive, holding far more gear in their modules than you might think at a glance. This functionality gives photographers loads of pockets to store all their tech for shoot and travel days.

Though the design is vintage, the functionality is everything but. With an individual laptop component as well as a back pocket zipper for easy access to travel documents or a 9.7" tablet, the rugged-looking bag is designed for modern use.

The bag's water-repellant fabric and waterproof zippers aim to keep photographers' gear safe when shooting under any condition.

Wontancraft bags have been described as "straddling the line between great looks and functional durability" and were awarded "Gear of the Year" by DPReview in 2021. Their newest Scout bag will be $299 and will be available in two colors: olive green canvas and charcoal black canvas. It will be on the Wotancraft website available for purchase in late April.

I'm always amazed by the price of such bags. It looks great and it's maybe well built. But I still use a messenger bag (around 20€) with an insert (around 15€), and it makes the job perfectly.

I think a big part of the cost is the quality of the material. I had it at a sports shoot today and out of no where it started raining but I remembered that the fabric was waterproof so I tried not to panic. Lo and behold when the rain stopped, my gear was dry inside. I was really happy about that

It's partly true. But I chose my messenger bag with the same idea in mind. And it's also efficient. The only thing I added is a shoulder pad.

Stefan try out one of these bags they look great, they feel good, they have super functionality, extremely well made. Try to find one that’s been previously experienced for less money you will love the bag.
