I have no idea how this happened, but seemingly overnight the rear half of my Wacom grip pen got super sticky. It felt like the same kind of residue left behind when you unsuccessfully peel a sticker off something. I did not spill anything on it or use it with dirty hands. It was (and I guess still is) so puzzling to me. First thought was to...
Recently I purchase Nikon D5300, so first think I did is compare it with my 11 years old camera Olympus E510. Here are two test shoots with kit lenses at similar focal length. Nikon image size is reduce to match size of oly image. I need to mention that Oly lenses have fungi and Nikon lenses are new and clean.
So can anybody explain to my...
I've been shooting with a Nikon d3200 for about 4 years now and I'm thinking about upgrading my camera body. I do mostly landscape and nature photography. However I sometimes will do some events for friends. I would like a camera that is great in low light for milky way/star trails AND that is also good for shooting...
I was editing my website tonight and had a sudden realisation that I don't know what I really do? This is obviously terrible for business planning/marketing. I have never gone through this before. I don't know if I am a portrait or headshot photographer. I need some opinions and would very much appreciate any advice.
You can see my work...
I am going slowly insane trying to get some images printed for a 6 x 4, 7 x 5 and 5 x 5 aperture on a mat in a frame. When I go to order the image it is making them 6 x 4 but if this is the same as the aperture, I won't have anything to fix the image to the mat. What does everyone else do? So far I have come up with using GIMP to put a .5 inch...
I believe that lot of people trying to understand the rating system in this site, everyone probably got different opinions about it. I've saw how lee morris - one of the co founders of fstoppers explain his version at https://fstoppers.com/architecture/how-would-you-rate-your-photography-1...
as 1 star is snapshot and 2 is "Even complete...
I need your opinion on this... Do you think its overdone or not? Any recommandations to make it better?
Hello everyone at Fstoppers, I've been a fan / reader of this site for a little while, but just signed up today.
I'm in the first year of setting up my photography business. At the moment one of my goals is to contribute to the photography community - peers & potential customers. I've been really impressed with some of the fstoppers...

The camera is a Sony a6000. It is, for me, an outstanding camera. Feature rich. Easy to use. I recently purchased a Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens. I did a great deal of research comparing this lens with the Sony 35mm f1.8. Many reviews with both pros and cons concerning each lens capabilities. The main capability difference for me was that the Sony lens...
I'm heading to Alaska with my A7r3. I'm getting a 100-400 + 1.4. I would like to sell my:
Sony FE 70-200 mm F4 OSS / SEL70200G lens.
I can't find a for-sale page here (I'm new). Can some one point it out, also, give me some sites to post it in? Thank you, David
I've been a fan of the site for years and was hoping someone there may have encountered a situation like this and can point me in the right direction. I currently sell stock photos through pond5.com and apparently all of my account payments ($8,000) that were in the pond5 system were paid out to a payoneer account that isn't...
Fake profiles and bad reviews
I have some strange fans. Their profile is without a picture without anything.
Within a short time I have 1 star ratings, no matter what I post. Also 1 star rating on pictures, which are awarded with several awards of various magazines, etc.
What do you do with such fake accounts?
I can't decide where to post photos of old buildings (barns, silos, etc.) and equipment. I checked some photos I found searching for barn but the ones I checked were all in personal portfolios not groups. Are they architecture or landscapes or perhaps it depends? Here is an example.
I am building a pool of potential models for my own shootings.
Now I am loooking for any easy to use and cheap / free app or other solutions to manage this database.
I want to be able to easily browse it, upload pictures and search for keywords.
How do you guys manage your model files? Any ideas are...
I’m looking to replace my current ball head (3 Legged Thing AirHed Neo) with somthing a little more sturdy. My biggest set up is a Canon 7d Mii with a Canon 70-200 f4. I don’t want to spend too much, but I would like something that lasts. Oh, and has friction control!
My instagram to date is all black and white street photography.
I like black and white. But after a couple hundred images, I feel it's hard to incorporate color to the feed.
What do you think - gradually do it, or do it straight away?
Clean out B&W shots and start afresh with color?
I recently purchased the second generation Loupdeck+ which I planned to use with Lightroom. Unfortunately the tutorials offered by the device creators are specific to the first generation hardware which differs significantly. They are also designed more as marketing tools; they tell you all the cool things you can do with a Loupedeck, but they...
Firstly, this is to ask you all to please go rate and comment on the images on my portfolio, since a lot if images are rated either higher or lower than I would expect compared to my others, so I would like to get more votes on them.
Secondly, I have a suggestion to the fstoppers.com staff. There should be some...
Hey guys, so does anybody have insight on how to eliminate colorbanding from the blue sky while on location? Is there anything special one is to do to eliminate it from even getting in camera? I have seen video's on youtube about ways to remove in post but would love to not even have to get this far. I shoot with a d810 and a tokina 16-28mm...
