Jolie With A Mamiya RB67

My partner Jolie and I got all inspired after watching a documentary called 'Helmut Newton - Frames From The Edge' and so we got creative and used what was available in the studio.

The tripod idea has been used numerous times before but... it's all about making it your own after so after a bit of a search in my studio, I came a cross a Mamiya RB67 that was loaned to me by a friend over a year ago to use as a prop in a shoot.

We are currently in a heavy lockdown in Melbourne, Australia but fortunately for me, Jolie is a model and makeup artist so we had that covered.

I setup a single Godox AD600 strobe fitted with a1.2m parabolic softbox and had that setup to the right and angled down.

I really loved the way the light caught her face.
