Filters and Heavy Editing Fun

So .... you will like or hate this and that is fine! In the name of experimenting and inspired by Hunter trying some filters and beautiful editing, here are the original (edited 'normal'), a night theme and a black and white night.

Fun? Horrible? Cool? Any feedback is welcome.

First works fine albeit with a not too interesting sky. Third is fine but the fake stars are....meh.

Love the experimentation going around as of late, it's fantastic to see!

In this series I'm drawn to the 3rd image, the black/white high contrast version.

I truly hope you don't mind but I really wanted to see what it would look like mirrored with two docks; with a little blending in the middle. Again hope you don't mind, all in the spirit of experimentation and exploration of course.

You know i love your edits! This is no exception! ;)

Hi Ruth, I tend to agree with the previous comments and I love the sense of drama that the third edit provides.

Hallmark cards, Ruth? Starry, starry night, anyone?

And I just said you used subtlety on your portfolio pier image.... ;-)

The irony was not lost! I'm not sure what i think about crazy filters like these but it is fun to play around! ;)

Spare my retinas!

Still - it's your Group, Dear Leader.

Hey Ruth, glad to see you're back at it. I like the ay the third keeps the eye in the frame, but I'm not in love with the stars.

I think the first might look really good if you could add a grad filter to the sky and bring our the detail (drop highlights? perhaps with a range mask if in LR) and exposure from the top (similar to #3).

Nice to see you playing again!

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
