I think I'd like a bit more sharpness to the water drops and I'm curious how it would look with the lines vertical (perhaps because it reminds me of a picture I took not long ago of a fork on a similarly patterned place mat).

I like the simplicity but feel the palm needs to be sharper. The diagonal lines do help, making the image more dynamic.
I feel the water droplets detract from the image also.
A sharper image without the water would be a winner for me.
