Portrait of a maiden

Just posting to engage a wider audience. This is an experimental image, layering multiple images taken of the subject in Photoshop.

As always feedback is appreciated, be it from novice or veteran, positive or not. All that have a set of eyes are qualified to express their individual opinion, which will be both wholly appreciated and respected.

I fully expect this to split opinion, and accept there is no such thing as a wrong response.

What's not to like? Perhaps a little more contrast in the final image? Personal taste.

Haven't done a Ventosian digitally, do you control contrast in each layer or in the merged image?

Thanks for the response Ken. I did work the contrast and ended up preferring this. That said, I typically revisit over a period of time so that may change.

I tend to make rough global adjustments in Lightroom before round-tripping into PS. From there it's basically a case of aligning layers, setting opacity, masking as needed and checking various blend modes.

Then it's saved back into LR for final edits (contrast is typically adjusted here.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
