I wanted to use a 16-stop ND for this, my first attempt at a day time long exposure that wasn't a beach. Using my EOS R5, but I noticed it doesn't have a external port for an intervalometer as my Rebel and R have, so I settled for a 10-stop ND for 30 seconds.
Yeah, the first thing I did when I got home was to look in the manual...and found it. I really need better planning skills.
(I did take the liberty of renaming the exit and removing the support for the structure displaying information for on coming traffic.)
I was gonna say, the R5 has an intervalometer built in. I was wondering if it did not do something that an external unit does. I do not use this feature so I was not aware of what the R5 does compared to an external unit.
I am so use to grabbing external for my Rebel T-3, and EOS R for anything over 30 seconds. I have had the R5 for about a month now.
I just went out to learning something new. I did but it wasn't what I expected.
Hi Dean. I find it interesting that a 30 sec exposure would rid the road of vehicle detail altogether, I suppose the traffic speed had a big part to play in this.
It's great to see how LE can be used to remove moving objects, much like the (very) early street photography, at a time where LE was a necessity rather than an artistic choice.
