Dean Wilson's picture

Sunset on the Oregon Coast...with a twist.

I couldn't help but trying.

First photograph is edited.

The second photo the the out of camera jpeg. I realized afterwards to make a note to myself to remember a camera lens has a front and a back...both need cleaning!

f/55 ~ 1/25 ~ ISO 100 ~ 500mm

This is really pretty, Dean. 1 and 2 are both equally pretty in their own way. The BW (3rd) is almost like surreal photography. I think I like the 3rd most. It would be cool to have some sort of fantasy object or creature right in the center! These were nice posts, Dean.

I'm more partial to them being vertical.

Interesting images Dean. Unless totally abstract I like to retain the essence of the subject, hence in this case I prefer #3 also.

Be diligent about cleaning the camera-side of the lens - any dirt there can migrate to your sensor and leave you with persistent dust spots going forward.

Where in Oregon are you? I just got back to the East coast from Portland today.

You wouldn't believe how much had accumulated on both sides of the glass!

While you were in Portland I was on the Oregon Coast. I live in Canby, just south of Portland.
