Harry's Eye View

Well, not exactly.

Almost two weeks ago I hung my Akaso 4k GOPRO clone from Harry's collar before our daily walk, so it is a little below his line of sight. I set the intervalometer to take a picture every ten seconds, believing that when we got home I would find 200+ individual images on the MicroSD card. Au contraire. It had taken a picture every ten seconds, but they were all in one big MP4 file, which was useless to me.

Today I found that Lightroom can do a frame grab, which is where this image started out. I used DxO's Viewpoint plug-in to straighten the verticals as best I could, but there was still more distortion than I could repair. The rest of what I did should be familiar to those who pay attention to such things.

To satisfy those several people who have been unhappy with the red boundary lines, in this one they're black. I do not think this is an improvement. I think the real question is whether there should be boundary lines at all.

I really like this. I like the boundary lines as they add to the image and story in my opinion.

Here's an idea...give Harry the nickname "5 miles". That way you can honestly say you walk "5 miles" every day.

Interesting POV, but I wonder where the drool is?

Realistically, one mile is more likely.

Or you can just rename him, Miles!

I really like the boundary line in this. It feels like the viewer was let in on a special POV like in a movie or something. Cute shot!

This is so much fun! I wish I had a dog! All I have is a big fat cat and I would get a sideways picture of the wall as he sleeps all day. Haha. I think the frame is an integral part of this image. I don't think I would like it much without it. I totally love it. I do like just the black instead of the red but at the same time that's just an artistic choice. I think this image is so cool. Super well done.

Well, I think black is better than red but no boundaries is better. I didn't know that you could do that. Love the tongue view!

I love the way you continue to experiment Andrew, and really like this result.
As with others, I prefer the darker frame. It is less of a distraction and provides a 'window' into the path ahead.

BTW - as this is an abstract I think the distorted verticals fit in perfectly.
